Lillooet (St'át'imc)

The St'át'imc, long called the Lillooet in English, live in the mountains and river valleys of southern interior British Columbia. Their stories were written down in the early 1900s by James Teit, who lived and worked among the peoples of the region.

Today about six thousand St'át'imc live in eleven communities along the Fraser and Lillooet rivers in British Columbia.
