Passamaquoddy
The Passamaquoddy are one of the Wabanaki peoples of the far northeast, living by the bays and rivers along today's border of Maine and New Brunswick. Many of their stories tell of Glooskap, the great figure who shaped the world and set it in order.
Today about 3,400 Passamaquoddy are enrolled at Pleasant Point and Indian Township in Maine, with a few hundred more in New Brunswick (tribal census rolls).
